Camp Rules
General

Horses must be up to date with annual vaccinations- please send a copy prior arrival and bring passports with you

Any horse with contagious symptoms will be refused entry

Please be welcoming to all campers- We have a zero tolerance bullying policy

For a Human first aid kit- Ask Rosy

Under 18s- all medicines (including non- prescription) will be held by Rosy (or parent if there), must be clearly labelled with the campers name and will be logged when taken

Mobile phones- your responsibility to keep safe, please keep off and away during lessons unless you want to take photos/videos with permission.

Take care in the weather: Hot- suncream, drink lots of water and stay in the shade, cold/ wet- bring layers and a waterproof coat and a change of clothes

Please stay within designated camp boundaries- yard, allocated arena, classrooms, equine canteen and carpark

No food and drink cups/ bottles or gum on the yard or in any lessons- you will be given a safe camp travel mug on arrival which you can refill through the day with hot or cold drinks, this can be taken around with you

It is your responsibility to get to your lessons and workshops- follow the camp day plans/ yard routine
Riding
-
Riding hats must be to current British safety standards, fastened and worn when riding and handling

Back protectors are advised to be worn (highly recommended for jumping) and must be up to current British safety standards (Juniors must wear for XC Session)

Wear suitable riding boots, riding clothes, long sleeves (shoulders covered), gloves, no loose jewellery and hair tied up. Basic spurs and whip allowed.

Check tack, girth and stirrups at the start of the session, ensure tack suitable with enough control.

Wait at the gate to enter, do not work in before your time slot.

Spectators stand/ sit outside arena
Yard
-
Be safe and sensible on the yard, no running or shouting.

Wear a hat and gloves when leading horse out of stable/ in hand grazing

Wear suitable yard clothes, boots, no loose jewellery and tie hair up

Do not enter any other horses stables or feed any other horse that isn't your own

The yard opens at 8am and closes at 6pm, there will be no access outside that time unless an emergency, horses will be checked by Rosy in the evening before leaving.

You are fully responsible for your horses daily care

No small children, prams or dogs on the yard or in the arenas.

The yard/ classrooms/ arenas have a no smoking / vaping policy- please use designated smoking areas

Any accidents, injuries or damage must be reported to Rosy.

Please ensure lights are switched off, taps are turned off and litter is thrown into bins provided.

Outside stables must be kept tidy, tools clean and stored safely away, hay nets hung up, bales tied up and feeds covered.

Follow the yard routine times, no under 18s on the yard out of this time without permission
