Welcome to this years Instructors and Specialists!
Accredited Professional Coach Rosy Hart- Hello! I am the organiser of this camp and will be the main instructor for all the ridden lessons, I like to bring fun, inspiration, knowledge and confidence boosting to my sessions and variety for you and your horse to enjoy! I am fully insured, safeguard and first aid trained and DBS checked, I have trained a variety of clients from complete beginners to stage 4/ medium dressage level. My experience ranges from being a home and travel groom for international riders (SJ, D, BE) and Managing a busy livery yard for many years. I currently run my own stables offering a range of livery, specialising in youngsters, rehabilitation and horses with behavioural issues. I like to offer a calm and friendly environment to all riders, working a programme on and off the horse to develop both horse and riders physical and mental ability!
Equine Sports Massage Therapist Lottie Walsh- Lottie is a certified and fully insured Therapist specialising in red light therapy and Myofascial release. Her extensive eventing career from riding for the British Team to up to 3* level has driven her to do sports massage for the great benefits of keeping your horse in top condition. Lottie will be doing one to one sessions for the seniors horses and also bringing one of her event horses to assist me with the ridden demo and then hosting a fun group workshop for the juniors.
Bit and Bridle Fitting Consultant Ali Leach- Ali has vast experience of the industry from working as an instructor at a riding school, a groom for the police and on dressage and event yards plus freelance coaching. Her interest in Bitting began 15 years ago, where she trained with Gill Batt from horse bit advice. Ali will be hosting a hands on workshop for the seniors to gain knowledge and understanding of bit and bridle fitting.
Chartered & Veterinary Physio Sarah Light from Light Touch Physiotherapy- Sarah will be here for the senior camp offering private consultations for each rider- you can utilise this time as you wish from full body assessments and therapy, to a one to one pilates session or simply just ask questions. Sarah will also attend the junior camp offering campers a fun pilates workshop working on posture, aid application and all things needed for riding. She has great expert knowledge for horse and rider physiotherapy and she is also FEI permitted as she works with the British Endurance team!
Spillers Nutritionist Carrie- Carrie will be here for the senior camp hosting a weigh clinic for the horses. You will receive one to one consultations where she will assess your horses current diet, workload and health and she will body condition score your horse, your horse will then be weighed on the weigh bridge. Based on her assessment, Carrie will provide personalised feeding and product recommendations, along with a tailored diet plan. You will also have plenty of time to ask any questions about feeding and nutrition.
Master Saddle Fitting Consultant Laura Peters- Laura will be offering the junior campers a fun and practical saddle fitting workshop. She has a friendly and helpful approach and years of experience in the industry as an instructor and as a Saddle Fitter. Her goal is to educate the young riders all about saddle fitting to ensure that the horses welfare and horse and rider comfort is always paramount.
Oakhill Equine Vet Jess Watson (BSc, BVSc, CertA VP, PGCert VPS, MRCVS)- Jess will be here on behalf of Oakhill Vets providing hands on knowledge for the junior campers on Equine First Aid so that you are prepared in the event of an accident or emergency.
Yard Manager Gracie Burn- Gracie will be stepping in at the junior Camp on Thursday and Friday. Gracie is fully insured and DBS Checked with great equestrian knowledge and a calm approachable manner. She will be on hand if any campers need any help and advice, she will be ensuring the yard and sessions run smoothly and will keep a close eye on the horses to ensure optimum care and health.
Hattie the Dog- You may see a furry four legged camp mascot following Rosy. Hattie will be spending camp sunbathing, eating and keeping an eye on everyone, although she looks cute please leave her to enjoying her holiday as she will soon be back to work on the farm!
